Explore near and far with the Travel Club

The Canyon Lake Travel Club invites adult members of the community to join in on the club’s travel adventures. Membership is not a requirement to participate in the club; however, members receive discounted prices on most of the club’s trips.

Travel with the club to Palm Springs on Tuesday, Feb. 26, via motor coach to see the “Duets” musical tribute to Cher, Elton John, Liza Minnelli and Tom Jones and to have lunch at Billy Reed’s Restaurant.  There will be a stop at Hadley’s Fruit Orchard on the way home. Coach leaves at 9:45 a.m. from the lodge and returns at 6:30 p.m. The cost for club members is $99. The cost for non-members is $104. Kick up your heels at the “Hoedown” dinner-dance on Friday, Mar. 1, in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Enjoy dancing until 10 p.m. Music will be provided by Mike Shroyer of Good Time Entertainment. The cost for members is $50. Explore inside the rain forest greenhouse at the Butterfly Jungle at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park on Thursday, Apr. 4. See thousands of butterflies and watch as they flutter around you and sip nectar from flowers and feeders. The butterflies are imported from butterfly farms in Central and South America for this annual exhibit.

The coach leaves at 8 a.m. from the lodge and returns at 6:30 p.m. Lunch is on your own in the park. The cost for members is $108. Non-members pay $113. Members who have a San Diego Zoo season pass pay $54. Non-members with a season pass pay $59. The reservation deadline is Mar. 15.
