City Council appoints Larry Greene mayor

By a vote of 5-0, the Canyon Lake City Council appointed Larry Greene to the seat of mayor during Wednesday’s City Council meeting. Greene will serve as mayor for the next year, leading the city in tackling pressing topics, filling the role leading meetings and functioning as the city’s figurehead among the five elected City Council members. Greene was elected to the council in 2016 and has two years left of his four-year term.

At the same meeting, by a vote of 5-0, the council appointed Jordan Ehrenkranz to the seat of mayor pro tem. Ehrenkranz has served on the council for the past 10 years. He was reelected in 2016.
