Nominations open for 2018 Community Awards

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations from the community for individuals, businesses and clubs/organizations who made a difference in the community in 2018.

A committee of chamber members will select the honorees from the nominations and honor them at the chamber’s annual Awards Gala.

The 23rd annual Awards Gala, featuring the presentation of Community Awards and the installation of chamber officers, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at 6 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Ticket information will be released at a later date.

Nominations are open now in the following categories:

Volunteer of the Year: An individual who has made a significant difference in the community through volunteerism.

Citizen of the Year: An individual who has enhanced the quality of life in Canyon Lake through outstanding community involvement.

Business of the Year: A chamber member who provides exemplary customer service and superior products while supporting the Canyon Lake business community.

Organization of the Year: A nonprofit organization or association whose programs of work have made a positive impact on the community.

Youth of the Year: A Canyon Lake student who has exhibited academic excellence while being involved in the community and participating in school activities.

Residents who wish to submit a nomination should complete the nomination form and return it no later than Dec. 28, 2018.

Forms may be mailed to the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce at 31566 Railroad Canyon Rd., Canyon Lake, or dropped off at the chamber on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. or Pack, Wrap and Post between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
