The Canyon Lake Chair Volleyball  Club held its 5th annual Lobsterfest on Sept. 22 at the senior center. Fifty members feasted on lobster that was flown in from Maine, potato salad, homemade clam chowder, corn on the cob and dessert. The group was entertained by singer Marissa McKinnon who also engaged the group with sing-a-longs and 60s trivia.

The event was organized by Larry Garland with the help of the Lobsterfest Committee.

The club’s next event will be held on Oct. 16 when members play against competitive teams from Sun City. The event is a prelude to the Senior Games scheduled for February.

The Chair Volleyball Club meets on most Tuesdays and Fridays in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Power play (for more competitive players) is from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Regular play is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. For more information, contact Bert Barbay at 951-244-2378.
