Mommy N Me fall semester starts Aug. 31

The Canyon Lake Mommy N Me Club will resume for its fall semester at the end of August. Registration will be held Friday, Aug. 31, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Spirit Park in Menifee. Registration is $70, cash only, per child and $60 for additional siblings. Spots are limited. The group meets every other Friday from September through December to enjoy a variety of local toddler and preschool age activities.

As the club prepares for its fall semester, it’s also reflecting back on its spring semester. Moms and their little ones enjoyed making friends at the clubs eight events held February through May. Events included mornings at Twist’n U, Imagine Me Grow, and Uptown Jungle. The group also enjoyed strawberry picking at Kenny’s Farm, a luau at a splash pad and an Earth Day hike.

“We love Mommy N Me! It’s such a great way to meet other moms from the area and check out local play places,” said Ashley Irving, who has participated in the club with her three-year-old daughter Brielle for the past two years. “It’s great knowing there is a planned meet-up where my daughter will have a blast with friends and I don’t have to worry about a thing,”

“We’ve made great friends through the club,” said Meagan Bright. “Damzel has truly loved every event and I’ve loved helping to plan and organize them.”

Meagan, who organizes the club with Meaghan Hixson, said she is excited about adding some new events to the fall calendar and revisiting old favorites, like pumpkin picking and visiting DeJong’s Dairy.
