POA partially restocks lake based on fish study

A fish study was done by Dr. Aquatic Ecologist from Wood Environment Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. from San Diego on June 8 to determine types of species to add to Canyon Lake.

Based on the findings and recommendations from the fish study, Alpine Fishery partially restocked the lake with Bluegill, redear sunfish, bass and crappy on June 26 at Indian Beach and Sierra Park.

Over the next year, the POA will be working with fish experts for habilitation suggestions and seeking approval from EVMWD to add those to the lake.

All California fishing regulations apply and California State Fishing Licenses are required for fishing in Canyon Lake. To see all of the POA’s rules related to fishing, visit canyonlakepoa.com.
