Fine Arts Guild to host tribute concerts at lodge

Tribute artist Kenny Cetera will bring the music of Chicago to Canyon Lake on Saturday, Aug. 25, at the lodge.

Chicago is one of the longest-running and most successful rock groups of all time. Kenny has personally toured with Chicago as a vocalist and performed on Chicago’s best selling album Chicago 17. Kenny’s brother, Peter Cetera, was the most notable lead singer of the brass-rock group and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience is billed to be a most engaging musical event as Kenny effortlessly drives the lead vocals above the “harmonically dissonant” horn section.

Concertgoers can expect to hear such hits as “Does Anybody Know What Time It Is,” “If You Leave Me Now,” “25 or 6 to 4,” “Feeling Stronger Every Day,” “Saturday in the Park” and “Hard Habit to Break,” to name a few.

On Saturday, Nov. 3, the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild will present the music of the spirited Rod Stewart.

Gregory Wolfe has been performing as Rod Stewart since 1984. He has taken his act worldwide, from Bangkok to Berlin to Boston. During that time, he gained substantial notoriety amongst his peers for his exciting performances.

Bearing a striking resemblance to the rock legend, Gregory needs no makeup. “I can just roll out of bed and jump on stage,” said the rocker.

Gregory’s song list includes a string of chart-busting hits that include “Maggie May,” “Hot Legs,” “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” and “Forever Young.”

With that characteristic raspy singing voice, Gregory has tried to deliver the spirit of Sir Roderick Stewart, one of the best selling music artists of all time. “The best part about performing as Stewart, is delivering the on-stage energy of the iconic superstar,” said the tribute artist.

Having sold over 100 million records, Rod Stewart came to prominence in the late 60s with a quality that earned him an induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
