CL hosts League of California Cities Meeting

The City of Canyon Lake hosted the League of California Cities Riverside County Division Meeting on Monday, Mar. 12 at the country club. The meeting opened with the Elsinore High School Jr. ROTC Flying Tigers presenting the nation’s colors, followed by dinner and speakers.

The League of California Cities is an association of California city officials who work together to enhance their knowledge and skills, exchange information and combine resources so that they may influence policy decisions that affect cities.

The Riverside County Division includes 28 cities and provides members with the opportunity to exchange ideas and information and share the advantages of cooperative advocacy.

The vision of the League of California Cities it to be recognized and respected as the leading advocate for the common interests of California’s cities. Its mission is to expand and protect local control for cities through education and advocacy to enhance the quality of life for all Californians.

The division is guided by an executive committee under the leadership of a division president. Elected city officials and professional city staff attend division meetings throughout the year to share what they are doing and advocate for their interests in Sacramento.
