Letter: Veterans Day Volunteers

On Friday, November 11, we held the 8th annual Veterans Day celebration at the Town Center.  The turnout was amazing and the speakers were all awesome. I was quite often overwhelmed throughout the morning by the presenters, of course, but also by the outpouring of support, kindness and devotion shown by our community towards our veterans. Put that together with the joy of working with a team of volunteers who toil so selflessly on this event and you have an outcome that is almost beyond description. Words fail me. I love this City and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve such a fine community. Please allow me one more opportunity to say thank you to the Veterans Day Committee volunteers who work so hard throughout the year to put together a celebration of our Veterans, our heroes. Thank you Debby Gagnon, Jill Batinich, Judy Blanks, Paula Lynch, Karen Bevans, Hal Larson, Nancy Horton, Frances Tibbett, Donna Lovejoy, LaRue McNamara, Nancy Carroll and Bert Barbay for another outstanding job.
