Community invited to Winter Carnival and Tree Lighting

The Winter Carnival and Tree Lighting in the Towne Center is a free community event hosted by the Family Matters Club. The event will take place on Saturday, December 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the front of the POA/City Hall building.

This event will feature bounce houses, trackless train rides, horse carriage rides, holiday crafts, hot chocolate and cookies, falling snow and dancers and singers providing entertainment, all compliments of the Family Matters Club.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance and give families an opportunity to take photos with them. For the parents, there will be a raffle table and a vendor shopping area.

Adena Evans, the Family Matters Club event coordinator, says, “Come on out to the Towne Center as we light up the tree and kick off the holiday season.”
