Senior Center Holiday Boutique is this weekend

Residents are invited to “shop till they drop” at the 16th annual Holiday Boutique this Saturday and Sunday, November 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Senior Center.

This two day event, sponsored by the Senior Center Committee, features an assortment of handmade and homemade items by 50 vendors. Along with the usual holiday decorations, candles, knitted and quilted items, dog wear, plants, jewelry, kitchen decor and trinkets, there will be the ever-popular homemade jams, candies, breads, salsa and fudge.

This is the time to shop for the holidays. Need a centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table? Hostess gifts for those upcoming holiday parties? Stocking stuffers? Something unusual to give the boss? This event will have hundreds of unique handcrafted items for shoppers to choose from.

This popular annual event gets bigger and better every year; shoppers are lined up outside the Senior Center before the doors even open. There is so much to see that many shoppers attend both days of the event.

Cash and checks will be accepted. Credit cards will only be accepted for purchases of $50 or more. Proceeds from the Holiday Boutique benefit activities at the Senior Center, such as the Senior Center Christmas party.

A POA spokesperson says parking at the Senior Center during this event will be designated for shoppers only. The Burning Tree Dr. gate will be open during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.
