See Chef Anton on ‘Penn & Teller: Fool Us’

“Chef Anton” Riniti will be appearing on Penn & Teller’s hit summertime TV show, “Penn & Teller: Fool Us.” A small handful of the world’s best magicians were invited to be on the show to perform a five-minute act for the famous magicians. If Penn and Teller cannot figure out how a performer’s trick was done, the magician has “fooled the duo” and wins a trophy and a trip to Las Vegas to perform as an opening act for one night in Penn and Teller’s show at the Rio Hotel and Casino.

The show is hosted by actress Ayson Hannigan and filmed on stage in the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio Hotel and Casino. For his act, Anton brought in a pool table and performed a hybrid trick shot blended together with a magic trick. “It was the same trick I used to hustle Minnesota Fats when I was 9 years old,” says Anton.

Anton isn’t allowed to tell anyone if he won or not until the show airs. The show is scheduled to air on Wednesday, September 7, at 8 p.m. on the CW network, channel 5 locally.

“I did something on the show that no one has ever done before and may never be duplicated again,” he says.

Anton has been practicing magic since he was 4 years old. He turned professional in 1989. He is a two-time United States trick shot champion of pool, award-winning close-up and stage magician from the Magic Castle in Hollywood, California, and one of the world’s foremost authors on hustling and con games.

“It was a big honor to be selected by the producers of ‘Penn & Teller: Fool Us’ because I will be the first ever trick shot artist and magician to perform on the show. I may have hustled Minnesota Fats but did I fool Penn and Teller?” says Anton. Tune in on September 7 to find out.
