A young wife and mother of two, Amy lost both legs and both hands last year as a result of septic shock due to a blocked kidney stone, which caused a severe infection. Many Canyon Lakers have been inspired by her strength and follow her journey on her page “Amy’s Journal.” This is an opportunity for Canyon Lakers to help one of their neighbors. Amy’s Insurance has recently denied her for the hand prosthetics she needs, and they are very expensive.

Trusted Business Partners of Canyon Lake has rallied with businesses in the community and surrounding areas to donate gift baskets that will be available for raffle at Pepe’s. The baskets can be seen at the restaurant on the day of the raffle, August 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. Raffle tickets will be $2 each or $10 for six. Winners will be announced at 8 p.m.

All funds from the raffle will go to Amy. In addition, Pepe’s will be giving a percentage to Amy from their sales for the entire day!

There will also be a Premier Designs Jewelry Party from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for ladies who love jewelry. They will be donating 30 percent of their sales from that day.

For more information or to donate a basket, contact Shannon at 951-553-9692 or Jeanne at 951-244-5615. Please visit “Hands for Amy” on Facebook, where photos of baskets to be raffled will occasionally be posted. Follow Amy on Facebook “Amy’s Journal.”
