Artists invited to put their work on display

The Canyon Lake Art Association is preparing to install a new display of artwork at the Senior Center. This quarter, organizers are looking for “interpretive, abstract or expressionist pieces.” Artists working in watercolor, oil, acrylic and mixed media are encouraged to submit their pieces to the Art Association in time for the monthly meeting at the Senior Center on March 24.

A business card must be submitted with the artist’s work for contact purposes. Whenever possible the artwork should be framed and wired for hanging. All art must be labeled with the artist’s name, the title of the work, the media, the size and the price. If the art is not for sale, please indicate so with “N/A.”

Artwork that is three-fourths-inch canvas wrapped or on canvas board should be framed. Simple frames or gallery wrapped canvases are suggested.

Submissions will help make the Senior Center a reflection of the quality and variety of art found in Canyon Lake. Displays are rotated quarterly. For more information call Janie Currey at 951-244-4285 or Robin Golden at 949-307-2332.

Pepe’s Restaurant is featuring CLAA artist’s work in the banquet room. Selection will vary every two months. The work of Cindy Keith, an oil and watercolor artist, is currently on display.
