Sara Price returns to
Stadium Super Trucks
DECEMBER 15, 2017
Canyon Lake resident Sara Price, a multi-time motocross champion turned truck racer, is returning to the Stadium Super Trucks series to drive an RPM Off Road entry in the World Championship Finals at Storm Stadium this weekend.
The Stadium Super Trucks competi- tion brings the excitement of off-road truck racing to short courses in acces- sible venues. The 600-horsepower spec trucks are capable of racing on tarmac and dirt and jumping over 150 feet on the series’ signature ramp jumps.
“Robby Gordon’s Stadium Super Truck series is intense and I’m ready to hop back in a truck thanks to the team at RPM Off Road,” said Sara. “It’s going to be a stacked field with some of the best drivers in the sport and I’m excited to get out there and race.”
This weekend’s doubleheader World Championship Finals at Storm Stadium starts on Friday with qualifying at 12:40 p.m. followed by on-track action at 6 p.m., qualifying on Saturday at 4 p.m. and opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. The event also includes racing in production UTV 1000s, UTV 170s and Mod Karts and a headline concert performance by Warrant and Buckcherry.
Sara will compete as a guest in the Stadium Super Trucks World Champi- onship Finals in a vibrant orange RPM Off Road truck alongside RPM Off Road teammate Carlos “Apdaly” Lopez, win- ner of this year’s Baja 1000. This will be Sara’s 10th appearance in the series.
The first-ever female participant in the Stadium Super Truck series, Sara ran a partial season in 2016 competing in
nine different events in Australia, Can- ada and the United States with a career- best result of 4th place in Costa Mesa, California.
Named the 2016 Off-Road Motors- ports Hall of Fame Rising Star, Sara’s racing career started on dirt as the first factory-supported female racer under Kawasaki.
Sara started racing dirt bikes at the young age of 12 and has collected 19 amateur championships through dif- ferent men and/or women classes, and is still the most winningest amateur to date.
Sara medaled at the 16th X-Games in 2010 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coli- seum. She dabbled in UTVs in 2013 and raced the WORCS series the following year to captured the Women class title. She moved on to the Lucas Oil Series in 2015 and took 3rd place overall in the series championship amongst some of the best competitors (men class).
This season, Sara has contested a se- lect series of off-road races for RPM Off Road in both Trophy Truck and Trophy Truck Spec. class in the Best In The Desert series with best finishes of 6th place at the Vegas to Reno and Tonopah race event. She also became the ‘’Next Female Hoonigan” contest and raced the Production RWD class in the Fiat Rally car at San Pedro Martir Hill Climb where she finished 2nd.
When Sara isn’t racing she works as a stunt professional, performing on mo- torcycles, four wheels and as a precision driver for television and film.
