A-6 THE FRIDAY FLYER NOVEMBER 4, 2016 Come Play Quarter Mania tomorrow at the Lodge
Residents and guests are invited to the Family Matters Club Quarter Mania "fun-raiser" tomorrow, Saturday, No- vember 5, at 11 a.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. All attendees must be ten years old or older and have their own tickets
VIP bidder paddles cost $35 and in- cludes entry to win every item in the auction. General Admission bidder pad- dles cost $15. Additional paddles cost $5 each
Upon check-in, each guest with a pre- sale ticket will receive a bidder paddle, $5 snack bar voucher and a goody bag that includes an event program with the listings of vendors and auction, raffle and silent auction items. General admis- sion ticket-holders need to bring quar-
ters for bidding on items.
Pre-sale VIP tickets include every-
thing listed above plus a VIP goody bad and unlimited snack bar items. Pre-sale VIP ticket-holders do not need to bring quarters. All rounds of bidding are included with pre-sale VIP tickets
There will be two bidding rounds. Round one will cost bidders three quar- ters per bid for a chance to win items valued at $50 or higher. Round two will cost bidders two quarters per bid for a chance to win items valued at $30 or higher.
Bidders interested in the opportu- nity to win a specific item must then deposit their quarters into a collection jar on the tables, then raise their bid- der paddle in the air. A random number
will be drawn from those bidding. The guest holding up the chosen number wins the item. Guests can increase their chance of winning by purchasing additional bid- der paddles for $5. There is a three paddle limit per person. If more than one paddle is used per round, guest must deposit quarters for each paddle used.
Before the bidding begins, and be- tween the two bidding rounds, guest will have an opportunity to shop at the ven- dor tables. Vendors will offer specials throughout the event.
Quarter Mania serves as a support to operate the club by using funds raised at this event to assist in costs to provide low or no costs events in the community. The November fundraiser focuses on the needs of helping a family in need at the
holidays and to accommodate requests children make in a letter to Santa.

‘True Willie’ Concert is next weekend at the Lodge
Residents have one week left to purchase tickets for the “True Willie” Willie Nelson Tribute Concert. The concert, sponsored by the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild, is Saturday, November 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. Organizers say the event is 80 percent sold out, so don’t wait to purchase tickets.
“True Willie,” is said to be “the most authentic Willie Nelson Tribute Band in America.” Critics say Roger Hegyi looks and sounds so much like the legendary country singer, they could have been twins separated at birth. You can see Roger in the current Volkswagen television commercial as they play “On the Road Again.”
The evening will include music from Willie’s iconic song book, including “On the Road Again,” “Always on My Mind” and “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys.”
VIP tickets with reserved seating are $45. General Admission (and Benefactor) tickets are $25. Tickets are available online at brownpapertickets.com, 800-838-3006, or at the POA Office ($25 tickets only).
For more than 15 years, the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild has been committed to bring- ing quality musical entertainment to the community at a reasonable price. The Guild offers four concerts at the Lodge per year, and plans to offer a free summer concert at Holiday Harbor in 2017.
