4th of July at Happy Camp
There is a lottery system to reserve sites at Happy Camp for the 4th of July. Members may visit the Campground Office between Saturday, June 11, and Friday, June 17, during office hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed Sunday) to fill out a ticket for the lottery. There will be one lottery entry per tract and lot.
The drawing will be held Saturday, June 18, at 10 a.m. at Happy Camp. Members must be present for the draw- ing. Upon being issued a reservation for the holiday weekend, a $30 nonrefund- able deposit will be required.
Reservations are not site specific and
are on a first-come basis. A three-day minimum reservation for July 3, 4 and 5 is required.
Suzy Bogguss Concert
Tickets for the next “Concerts at the Lodge” series concert starring Suzy Bog- guss are on sale. The concert will be on July 30, at 7 p.m. at the Lodge. VIP tick- ets are $55 per person, which includes a private entrance with preferred seating closest to the stage and a separate VIP bar; and $30 per person for General Ad- mission. Tickets are available online at www.canyonlakepoa.com or at Member Services (credit card transactions only) during normal business hours.
Grammy-winning singer Suzy Bog- guss has charted six Top 10 singles, won the Academy of Country Music’s “Top New Female Vocalist” award and the Country Music Association’s “Horizon Award.”
Gate Access Options
Upon completion of the Main Gate Project there will be three entrance lanes into the community and two new options for members to access the community.
The left lane will be for guests and members who do not have a valid POA proximity card. The center lane will be for returning guests with a valid guest pass, members with a valid POA prox- imity card, and members with a valid ve- hicle decal. The right lane will be desig- nated for members who have purchased a RFID vehicle transponder. The same technology is coming to the East Gate.
In 2015, the Association started is- suing POA proximity cards that will be compatible with the new card readers planned for the Main Gate center lane
and pedestrian sidewalk access gate. To obtain a new POA proximity card, visit Member Services.
The far right lane at the Main Gate will be equipped with RFID (radio fre- quency identification) technology that is designed to automatically open the gate when a vehicle equipped with an Asso- ciation-issued RFID transponder drives towards the gate.
Members who wish to purchase a RFID sticker will need to bring their ve- hicle to the Member Service office for installation and to pay a one-time fee of $20 per transponder (no cash). The RFID transponder does not have to be replaced on an annual basis; however, members must provide annual registra- tion to reactivate the transponder.
