Woman’s Club to host annual Holiday Auction

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club invites women in the community to attend its annual Holiday Auction during the club’s November meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge.

Items to be auctioned off include baked goods and new and like-new purses, jewelry and holiday items.

Lunch is $14 and will be served at 12 p.m.

Those who wish to donate items for this fundraiser are asked to bring their items to the meeting or contact Alexis Prince at dalexisprince@gmail.com to arrange for items to be dropped off.

Jeannette Williams will serve as auctioneer again this year.

The Nov. meeting has been moved up a week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Typically, the Woman’s Club meets monthly on the third Wednesday in the Holiday Bay Room. At December’s meeting, the ladies will be treated to a Christmas program that includes a sing-a-long.

The club also will be hosting its annual Holiday Home Tour fundraiser in December. Home Tour details and ticket information will be published in The Friday Flyer next week.

In January, Dermatologist Dr. Shen will speak to the members about skin cancer prevention.
