Woman’s Club is serving up tea with a fun twist

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club is serving up tea with a twist tomorrow, Oct. 13, for its first Witches Champagne Afternoon Tea at 3 p.m. at the senior center. Tickets are $35 and include champagne, tea, a spread of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jams and a variety of mini desserts.

Entertainment includes palm readers, animatronic fortune teller, music and opportunity drawings.

Witch costumes are not mandatory but encouraged. Glamorous witch costumes are preferred. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes.

This is a private event, non-members of the Woman’s Club must be sponsored by a current member to attend. Registration and ticket are required. Seating is limited. To register, contact Lyne Hall at 310-210-7366.

Proceeds from this event go toward the club’s charitable donations. In June, the Woman’s Club donated more than $40,000 to various local charities and educational scholarships to women and girls who live in Canyon Lake.
