Toastmasters to host International Speaking Contest

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce Toastmaster Club is hosting the Toastmasters International Division C, areas five and six, International Speaking Contest and Evaluation Contest on Apr. 7 at 2:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. Check-in is 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Doors will close at 2:30 p.m. sharp. Tickets are $5 at the door; potluck lunch included.

Mike Irvine and Vince Sweeny of the Canyon Lake Toastmasters Club will be among the contestants competing. The winners will go on to compete at the Division contest on Apr. 28 in Riverside. For more information, contact Maureen Smith, at 951-566-7185.

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce Toastmaster Club meets every Tuesday from 12:05 to 1:05 p.m. in the Council Chamber in the downstairs room at city hall. Visitors are welcome.
