Chamber of Commerce and dignitaries honor award-winners, install new Chamber officers

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce Installation and Awards Ceremony was held in the Diamond Club at Storm Stadium on March 7 with a number of community dignitaries in attendance to honor the awardees.

State Senator Jeff Stone was the installing official. County Supervisor Kevin Jefferies and Senator Jeff Stone honored all award-winners with proclamations. Jim Randle, co-owner with Judy Randle of The Cup Above, was installed as the Chamber’s new president.

Those honored  were Citizen of the Year LaRue McNamara, Volunteers of the Year Jill Batinich and Mike Shroyer, Student of the Year Justin Silva, Organizations of the Year: Jr. Women’s Club and Fiesta Day Committee, and Businesses of the Year: Canyon Lake Med Spa and The Cup Above.

Although he couldn’t be in attendance, Pastor Pete Van Dyke of Canyon Lake Community Church was a special honoree for almost 40 years of pastoral service in the community.
