Fashion Show
The Elks Ladies of Lake Elsinore/Wildomar Elks Lodge
No. 2591 will host their annual Fashion Show on Sept. 9 at the

Walk of Hope
On Sept. 24, Michelle’s Place will host its inaugural Walk of Hope at Vail Headquarters in Temecula. This event includes live music, food and awards. Registration for breast cancer survivors is $15. Registration for ages 13 and old- er is $30; $40 the day of the event. Child registration for ages four to 12 is $15. Children ages three and under are free. Online registration is available at mi- chellesplace.org. Registration includes a T-shirt, walk medal and post race en- tertainment. Participants who turn in registrations after Sept. 11 will not be guaranteed a walk T-shirt.
Suspicious phone call prompts school lockdown
Temescal Canyon High School was placed on lockdown on Sept. 1, at ap- proximately 9:45 a.m., for the safety of the students and staff in reference to a suspicious phone call.
As a precautionary measure, officers conducted an exhaustive search of the campus and surrounding area to identify any possible threat. The search involved school resource officers, Lake Elsinore Police and Sheriff’s officers, members of the Sheriff’s Special Enforcement
Bureau, a Sheriff’s helicopter and offi- cers from surrounding agencies.
“After completing the search, no evi- dence of any threat to the students, staff, or surrounding community was identi- fied, according to the press release.
The lockdown was lifted at approxi- mately 12:10 p.m.

Community Outreach Ministry is hosting a free E-waste recycling event Sept. 23 and 24, at the Target parking lot, 41040 California Oaks Road, Mur- rieta, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Community Outreach Ministry, a 501 C3 non-profit whose mission is helping to break the cycle of incarceration in children caught in the cycle. Proceeds benefit food and clothes for local at- risk kids to celebrate at the Angel Tree Christmas party.
