Golf Cart Parade set to cruise CLD next weekend
Whimsically decorated golf carts will
be cruising Canyon Lake Drive for the
8th annual Golf Cart Parade and Toy
Drive on Sunday, Dec. 9.
The Street Carts of Canyon Lake in-
vites all residents to decorate a golf cart
and participate in the parade. The entry
fee is one unwrapped toy for the Toy
Drive.
Registration and line-up start at 4:00
p.m. on Blue Bird Drive. The parade will
start at 5:30 p.m. with Santa’s sleigh cart
leading the way down CLD to East Port
Park. Trophies will be awarded at the
end of the parade for the best-decorated
golf carts in various categories.
The annual Golf Cart Parade and Toy
Drive started in 2011 with approximate-
ly 20 golf carts. Since then, the event
has grown to more than 100 golf carts,
prompting the POA to implement new
rules and a new parade route this year.
