Street Carts to host 8th annual Golf Cart Parade

Hosted by the Street Carts of Canyon
Lake, the 8th annual Golf Cart Parade
and Toy Drive will be held on Sunday,
Dec. 9. Registration and line-up start at
4:00 p.m. on Blue Bird Dr. The parade
starts at 5:30 p.m. The entry fee is one
unwrapped toy for the Toy Drive. Tro-
phies will be awarded at the end of the
parade for the best-decorated golf carts.
According to Street Carts of Canyon
Lake President Mike Shroyer, the POA
has imposed new rules and restrictions,
as well as a new parade route this year.
The changes are as follows:
Registration: Participating golf carts
must be registered with the POA and
have a decal on cart. Participants must
also register for the parade and sign a
waiver form. The forms are available at
the POA office and will be available at
check-in on the evening of the parade.
Parade Route: The parade starting
point is on the corner of Canyon Lake
Drive and Blue Drive. From there, the
parade will travel down Canyon Lake
Drive and end at East Port Park. Carts
must stay on the parade route and in the
