Two of five POA Board seats up for election
Two of the five POA Board of Di-
rectors seats are up for election. The
two-year terms of Dale Welty and Paul
Queen expire in May.
The five-member Board of Direc-
tors are collectively responsible for the
management and operation of the POA's
business affairs. The Board of Directors
are elected for staggered two-year terms.
The Board of Directors works closely
with the Association's Corporate De-
partment to ensure that Association du-
ties and responsibilities are being car-
ried out.
Members interested in running for the
2018/20 Board of Directors can pick up
an Intent to Run packet at the POA office
now. Intent to run packets must be com-
pleted and returned to the POA office no
later than Friday, Mar. 2, at 3 p.m.
The form must be completed by can-
didates or by a nominating member and
received by the Nominating Committee
by the deadline in order to ensure the
candidate's name appears on the ballot.
Regardless of whether a candidacy form
was completed, any candidate may still
be nominated by himself, herself, or by
someone else from the floor of the An-
nual Meeting.
All candidates must be a Prime or
Associate member of the Canyon Lake
Property Owners Association and in
good standing, as required by the By-
Laws. Candidates must not have been
