Pickleball Club collects donations for AFV
The Canyon Lake Pickleball Club membership took a
survey last year and selected Animal Friends of the Valley
(AFV) as one of the club’s philanthropic endeavors.
“AFV is Canyon Lake’s local animal shelter and does
amazing work getting stray dogs and cats adopted, licensed
and vaccinated, along with spaying and neutering to help
keep the over-population down so that kitties and puppies
don’t have to be put down,” said club member Diane Libring.
Club members are asking the community to consider do-
nating to their cause to help AFV. Diane and her husband
Steve are heading up the collection, and have vowed to per-
sonally match any monetary donations.
The following items are being collected:
• Wet and dry dog and cat food
• Cat litter
• Checks made out to Animal Friends of the Valleys
A donation box will be at the pickleball courts during the
club’s tournament tomorrow, Jan. 20, from 12 to 4 p.m.
Donations also may be given to any of the club’s board
members or dropped off at 22664 Canyon Lake Dr. South. PHOTO PROVIDED BY DIANE LIBRING
To arrange a drop-off or pick-up, contact Diane at 951-775-
6468.
“Don’t delay, go buy those items or make out that check
ASAP,” said Diane. “Even just $10, $25 or $50 from each
family will go along way with AFV.” Diane Libring accepts a donation for Animal Friends of the Valleys from Mary Koster.
