Swim with mermaids on Saturday at Mermaid and Pirate Pool Party
Residents are invited to swim with the mermaids at a kid-friendly Mer- maid and Pirate Pool Party on Satur- dayfrom3to6p.m.atthehomeof Mermaid Festival Chair Lyne Hall.
This event, hosted by the Woman’s Club, will feature swimming, mer- maids and buffets for adults and kids. A lifeguard will be on duty at this event.
Adult tickets are $10 and includes one drink and an all-you-can-eat adult buffet; additional drinks are $5. All inclusive tickets for kids cost $10 and includes entry into the mermaid pool, all-you-can-eat kid-friendly buffet
and a refillable color changing cup that is also good for free drinks at the Mermaid Festival on Aug. 26 at In- dian Beach.
Mermaid and pirate costumes are not mandatory but are encouraged.

All proceeds from this event will go towards the fundraising efforts of the Canyon Lake Woman’s Club; monies are disbursed annually to lo- cal charities and in the form of schol- arships to Canyon Lake students.

Vendors, sponsors wanted for annual Mermaid Festival
Planning is already underway for the 3rd annual Mermaid Festival scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26, at Indian Beach.
This community-wide event, spon- sored by the Canyon Lake Woman’s Club, will feature vendors, food, con- tests, opportunity drawings and the ever popular annual Cardboard Boat Chal- lenge.
Vendors and sponsors are crucial to the success of the event. Vendors, espe- cially those who specialize in beach or nautical merchandise with a mermaid
or pirate angle, are needed. Vendors or clubs who can do face painting and hair braiding are also being sought.
