Happy Camp 4th of July lottery set for Saturday
Holiday Harbor Park and Happy Camp are two of the best viewing spots to watch Canyon Lake’s 4th of July fireworks show. These two locations are in high demand. The POA holds lotteries for campsite reservations at the campground and picnic table reservations at Holiday Harbor Park.
The deadline to pick up a lottery ticket at Happy Camp is today at 4 p.m. Only one lottery entry will be issued per tract and lot. Members who enter must show their POA card and be a member in good standing with the POA.
The drawing will be held at Happy Camp on Saturday at 10
a.m. Lottery ticket holders must
be present to win. Winners
must agree to a $30 non- refundable deposit and pay for
a minimum of three days (July
3, 4 and 5). Holiday rates are $55 per day. Winners will get to choose their campsite on a first come, first served basis. There are approximately 40 campsites available. For additional information, contact the campground at 951-244-6841 ext. 650.
The lottery for table reservations at Holiday Harbor Park begins on Saturday. Members can sign up for the lottery at the POA office between June 17 and June 23. The drawing will be held at the POA office on

There are 17 tables available.
Members who enter the lottery must be present to win, show a valid POA card and be in good standing with the POA. Only one table reservation per tract and lot is allowed. The rest of the park will be available on a first come, first served basis for residents to set up their own canopies and seating areas to watch the fireworks. Members and their guests are invited to bring a small pool  oat to the pool on Saturday and enjoy fun in the pool while watching a movie on the big screen.
Flick-N-Float movie nights begin Saturday
Summer Movie Nights are back. The POA will hold the first Flick-N-Float movie of the summer at the pool on Saturday evening. Members and their guests are invited to bring a small pool float and enjoy fun in the pool while watching a movie on the big screen.
The featured movie will be A Mermaid’s Tale, a modern fairy tale of an enchanted friendship between a girl and a mermaid. Movie starts at dusk.
Parents must accompany their children unless the child is over the age of 14 and has a POA card. For safety reasons, there is a maximum capacity limit; so be sure to arrive early.
Future Flick-N-Float movies will be shown on July 15 and September 2. Most Flick-N-Float movies are rated PG.
The POA also sponsors Movie Night in the Park. Families are invited to bring chairs and blankets to spread out on the slope at Holiday Harbor for a family- friendly movie night on June 23, July 7, July 21, August 11 and August 25. Movies start at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.). Most movies are rated PG.
