The Canyon Lake Bible Club, in con- junction with Center Church, will be holding its second annual Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 16, at 6 a.m. at Indian Beach.
Residents are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the celebration. According to a spokesperson for this event, More than 160 adults and 70 chil- dren attended last year.
Following the service, there will be an Easter egg hunt with several giant stuffed bunnies going to the finders of the eggs with the golden tickets. There will be a special section for toddlers to hunt for eggs. Easter bags will be pro- vided for the children for the hunt.
The club also invites residents to join them for Good Friday sunrise service at Indian Beach on Friday, April 14.
The Canyon Lake Bible Club meets monthly on the first Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Pool View Room at the Lodge. The group is led by Pastor Thor Ramsey of Center Church (centerchurch.life). Meetings are open to the community. For more information, contact Steve Martin at 951-757-6146.

City-wide cleanup event planned for April 1
The City of Canyon Lake and CR&R are hosting a city-wide cleanup event on Saturday, April 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Canyon Lake Community Church, 30515 Railroad Canyon Rd. At the same time, Animal Friends of the Valley will be accepting donations of bleach, cat and dog food (Pedigree
and Iams), towels and pet beds.
The following items will be ac- cepted at no charge: normal household trash, tree trimming (bundled in 4’ lengths), couches, tables, appliances, ovens and stoves, microwaves, mat- tresses, concrete, asphalt, sod, lum- ber (cut and bundled), some batteries,
computers and monitors, televisions and household electronic devices.
The following items will not be accepted: latex and oil-based paint, paint-related products, flammable liquids, fuels, compressed gas cylin- ders, household cleaners, drain open- ers, oven cleaners, poisons, pesticides,
herbicides, fungicides, waste oil, anti- freezes, car batteries, lead-acid batter- ies, mercury thermostats, automotive cleaners, all other household and com- mercial hazardous waste and lamps (fluorescent light bulbs).
