The whole community is invited for breakfast! The Canyon Lake Lions Club will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast this Sunday, September 18, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Holiday Harbor. The menu will include scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, juice, coffee and tea for a $6 donation per person. Bloody Marys and Mimosas will be for sale also.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or from any Lion, or by calling Lions President Bob Hurst at 951-233-0355. “Bring the family and come enjoy a great breakfast while helping the Lions to continue their philanthropic efforts,” says Bob.
Cub Scout Troop 346 will be assisting the Lions in their White Cane Project as
well as helping with the breakfast. Lion- ess Club members will be helping their sponsoring Lions Club by serving cof- fee, orange juice and all the items neces- sary for the breakfast.
Lions support the Lions Clubs Inter- national Foundation, whose chief mis- sion is to allocate funds and resources to solve major humanitarian challenges and to help the victims of natural disas- ters around the world.

Paddle & Pedal Regatta set for September 25
Paddlers and pedalers will gather for the 5th annual Paddle & Pedal Regatta, hosted by the Fitness and Triathlon Club, on Sunday, September 25, beginning at 11 a.m. at Indian Beach. Everyone with a paddle board, kayak, canoe or pedal boat is invited to join the non-motorized cruise of the East Bay.
SUP n Safari says it will be at the event again this year, offering half off one-hour rentals and special board prices for the event. One-hour rentals regularly are $20; so for this event they will be $10 per hour. New board package specials also will be available.
Following the event will be a club-sponsored burger barbecue, which will be available to those who donate $5 per person. Guests are asked to bring a side dish to share. Barbecue proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
