A farewell party for Susanne (Cor- deiro) Webb was held on September 9 at Pepe’s Restaurant. On August 26, Su- sanne announced her resignation as Di- rector of Member Services. Associates commented that Susanne has been an invaluable asset to the Association since 2005 and will be greatly missed.
The Association Management devel- oped a succession plan almost two years ago. In transition of duties, the following staff will assume the following roles ef- fective September 12: William (Cory) Gorham will oversee Member Services and Community Patrol. Cory has worked for the Association for more than four years and will continue to maintain cus- tomer focus in his new duties.Cheryl Mitchell will oversee Planning and Com- pliance. Cheryl has worked for the Asso- ciation for more than 10 years. She has played an important role with the Archi- tectural Control Committee, as well as working with the City of Canyon Lake’s Planning Department.
Flick-n-Float is Tomorrow
The final Flick-n-Float of summer is scheduled for tomorrow, September 17, at the Lodge pool. Guests are invited to bring a small float or beach chair to watch the movie, which will begin at dusk (approximately 7:15 p.m.). Snacks will be available for purchase at the pool snack bar.
Class for Couples
A class for couples, “Who am I with you?” – a two-day seminar – is sched- uled for Saturday, September 17, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Wednesday, September 21, 6 to 9 p.m., at the East Port Park Activities Building. Presented by Joan Kowal, the class is about “discovery.” She says, “Spend two days getting to understand who you are and understand- ing who your significant other is. Then explore how this new found knowledge can bring your relationship to an em- powering working relationship.”

Community Patrol Stats
Statistics for the month of August are provided by Securitas Account Manager Jay Cregeen.
Community Patrol logged 18,700 miles and answered 344 calls for service with an average response time of 8 min- utes. Officers issued 128 citations and 3 warnings. There were 14 speed enforce- ment citations, 2 stop sign violation cita- tions, 76 parking citations, 1 motorcycle citation, 4 failure to stop for a school bus citations, 2 curfew citations, 5 dis- turbance violations (e.g. loud noises/ parties), 4 animal related citations (3 barking dogs, 1 not on a leash), 2 identi- fication for access control citations, and 8 miscellaneous citations.
Officers also issued 7 failure to com- ply citations and 3 citations for verbal abuse. Six passes and 35 POA cards were confiscated.
There were 12 calls for suspicious persons/vehicles and 64 gate runners (56 members, 8 trespassers). There were 30 incident reports; 12 of them were for graffiti and 4 for vandalism
Process servers were escorted to 28 locations with an on-scene time at the house of 2 minutes.
Marine Patrol boats spent 502.9 hours on the lake. There were 49 boat inspec- tions, 45 fishing license/permit checks, 16 boat tows, 1 miscellaneous tow, 6 battery assists and 11.4 escorted hours. There were 42 violation citation issued, ranging from speeding to expired regis- tration, and 12 verbal warnings for boat- ing safety. Thirty eight quarantine tags (red) and 54 service seals (white) were issued.
Long Range Plan Survey
The Facility Review Committee re- cently conducted a series of workshops to gauge the community’s interest in fu- ture community enhancements as part of a proposed “Long Range Plan.” The pur- pose of this survey is to allow residents an opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas for amenity enhancements.

Residents uncorked their creativity at the Paint and Sip event at the Country Club on September 8. Forty woman attended the sold-out event. Attendees enjoyed their fa- vorite glass of wine while re- creating a featured painting. Everyone who attended left with their own one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Country Club Bar Manager Krissy Cissell says, “Several people have asked when we’re going to have another one. No date has been set yet, but be- cause of the success of this first Paint and Sip, we are considering booking another one around Halloween.”
