JULY 22, 2016 THE FRIDAY FLYER A-5
Koolboy bringing ‘Funk
Fridays’ to Lighthouse
Funk Fridays are coming to the Lighthouse Lounge! Beginning Friday, August 5, from 7:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., Zua- kolii Riddle, better known as Koolboy, will be the DJ for “Funk Fridays Dance and Drink Night.” They will be every first and third Friday of the month.
Koolboy and his longtime girlfriend, Booshie, moved to Canyon Lake in Au- gust 2015 and have become active in the community. They have four adult children.
Koolboy is a legend in the rap music industry, providing pollock dancing for rappers like Snoop Dog, DJ Quik and Suga Free. (Poplock is a form of urban dance originating in California in the late 1970s involving rhythmic contractions of the dancer’s muscles to accent the beat, usually performed to funk music.)
Koolboy and his pop lockin hip hop dance crew, Hoodbotic Puppets West Coast Poplockers, have traveled to every state across America, and have toured with some of the greatest rap- pers in the world.
Koolboy is a professional DJ, dance instructor, boxing instructor, personal fitness trainer and the creator of “Funk Fitness,” an exercise class he created in 2009 and has been teaching in Can- yon Lake. He describes “Funk Fitness” as dancing and exercising to ‘70s and ‘80s funk music with simple but intense moves.

This refresher course will be taught by trained instructor, Don Duncan. By taking this driver safety course, partici- pants will learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate one’s vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driv- ing environment.
In addition, many insurance compa- nies offer a discount for completing this course. For questions about this course, call Don Duncan at 951-244-7513. Res- ervations are required for this course. Reservations and payments can be made at the Member Services office.

Augusts’ Traffic School will be on Tuesday, August 30, at 7 p.m. in the POA Conference Room at the CLPOA Office. Register for Traffic School prior to the class; please check with Hearing Services for the registration deadline date. Payment of $25 is due at the time of registration.
