Miss Canyon Lake Pageant to be held next Saturday
Canyon Lakers are invited to share a shining moment with several young ladies participating in the Miss Canyon Lake Scholarship Pageant on Saturday, May 21, at 6 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room a the Lodge. This year’s theme is “Denim and Diamonds.”
The program consists of interviews by judges and a fun fashion and evening gown competition. According to Pageant Director CoCo Morrison, this a schol- arship program, with a scholarship being awarded to Miss Canyon Lake. Miss Canyon Lake and her Royal Court will participate in community service events throughout the year, volunteering their time.
Contestants are in categories ranging from Wee Miss (3 years old ) to Miss Can- yon Lake. Two young ladies, Hannah Graham and Makayla Clark, are vying for Miss Canyon Lake. Tickets will be available at the door for $12; children under 5 are free.
Learn to ride a wakeboard or improve your skills at the Wakeboard Club's Learn to Ride Day this Sunday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the North Ski Area.

The Wakeboard Club will host a Learn to Ride Day this Sunday, May 15, starting at 9 a.m. in the North Ski Area. The day is devoted to instruction in wakeboarding, wakeskating and safe boating.
Staff members are on hand to provide training for any level of rider. With help from sponsors the club provides boats
and equipment for the day. Instruction is scheduled to end at 4 p.m. The cost is $15 per person.
Other Learn to Ride Days are sched- uled for June 26 and July 24. Wakeboard competitions will be held July 16, Au- gust 27 and September 18. For more information about the Wakeboard Club, visit canyonlakewake.com.
