traditional communication vehicles such as a monthly newsletter, “Canyon Lake Living,” and advertises As- sociation news in The Friday Flyer as needed. Infor- mation also is broadcast through the City of Canyon Lake’s PEG (Public, Educational and Government) channel, and can be viewed at Time Warner Channel 29 and Verizon Channel 39.
Seeking Community Patrol Feedback
One of the features of the new website is a mem-
ber comment form for Canyon Lake’s Community Patrol services. (Select “Community Patrol” under the “Member Services” tab.) The Association actively seeks feedback from members regarding the contact they have with Community Patrol staff.
According to the General Manager, member feed- back will be used to assist the Association in evaluat- ing the Community Patrol services contracted through Securitas. It will help both the Association and Securi- tas recognize potential deficiencies or to acknowledge staff who performs exceptionally.
It will also aid the Association and Securitas in eval- uating present procedures and methods.
Securitas Account Manager Jay Creegen announced at the February 3 Board of Directors Regular Session Meeting that video and audio cameras have been in- stalled and are in service in three of the Community Patrol vehicles. He notes these cameras will be utilized on all traffic stops to help accurately document inci- dents. The cameras may also be activated outside of the vehicle via a remote.
Signs are posted at all the gates notifying members that Canyon Lake utilizes audio and video cameras for community patrol services. The three vehicles utilizing the audio and video technology also have signs indicat- ing this technology is present in the vehicle.
