Whether original or added by the Parkers, who also had a vision for re- storing the hotel to its original splendor, the collection of museum-quality an- tiques is mind-boggling and beyond de- scription both upstairs and downstairs.
Richard says the couple’s goal is to open the hotel one night a week for groups of 20 who want to experience the West as it was in the late 1800s, with period clothing, cowboy music and barbecue.
They anticipate groups coming from around the world, but already are re- ceiving reservation requests from local groups. Temecula “Western Days” orga- nizers are planning to have this year’s annual Main Street gunfight start at The Bank and end just down the road at Ho- tel Temecula.

Tourists may be tempted to believe this building is fake – a Western "front" built to blend in with other Old Town buildings erected in recent years. It is, however, the original immigration office of San Diego County and housed the U.S. Border Patrol in the early 1900s.
