Jr. Women’s Club hosts Health Fair, Blood Drive

The Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club hosted a community Health and Wellness Fair on Sunday at the lodge. The event kicked off at 9 a.m. with a Blood Drive. There were 38 blood donors. The Holiday Bay Room was filled with vendors promoting their businesses and selling goods and services. Each vendor donated an item for the raffle.

Scheduled speakers included representatives from the Red Cross and GNC, Brian Fowler (Thrive by Le-Vel), Sandy Lillie (Mary Kay), Steven Prince (Chronic Illness Group), Kaila Mason (Divine Natural Living), Adam Plendi (Kannaway CBD), Jennifer Dain (Caregiver Provider) and Richard Mugica (Canyon Lake Fit Body Boot Camp).

The event raised $1,000 to go toward the Jr. Women’s Club philanthropy projects.

The Jr. Women’s Club is a non-profit philanthropic club that holds fundraising events throughout the year to help fund scholarship programs, help local families in need and donate to park improvements in Canyon Lake.
