Near & Far: Canyon Lakers show support for young actress

When the film “The Amendment” was shown for one day only at Edward Temecula Stadium 15, several Canyon Lake residents attended to show their support for Canyon Laker Taylor Pigeon, an 8th grade Canyon Lake Middle School student who was featured in the film.

Taylor played the role of Leslie, a victim of a violent crime. The movie is based on the life of Brooks Douglass, Oklahoma’s youngest state senator, who in 1979 was a victim of a violent crime in which his entire family suffered unbelievable destruction. The lives of his parents were taken, Brooks and his sister Leslie survived.

Taylor is not unfamiliar with the stage. She began working in show business as a young child and for the past seven years has had a prominent role in many of the Canyon Lake Community Theatre productions.
