Member-Guest Tournament winners announced

Seventy-two ladies participated in the Women’s Golf Club Member-Guest Tournament on May 11. This year’s theme was “Cruising down the fairway on the S.S. Canyon Lake.” The format was Two Best Balls of the Foursome.

The event began with breakfast at the country club, followed by golf, lunch at the lodge, opportunity drawings and awards.

 The winners are as follows:

Admiral’s Flight:

1st place Gross: Gerry Meeks, Marilyn Bridges, Gail Cavenaugh and Lou Ann Reiching, 164.

1st place Net: Anita Fairfield, Cathy Barr, Elaine Brady and Charlotte Ediger, 122.

2nd place Net: Merilyn Murphy, Jeannette Williams, Marilyn Robinson and Kathy Cottingham, 128.

3rd place Net: Norma Yarbrough, Sue Sell Nancy Card and Becky McVittie, 129.

Captain’s Flight:

1st place Gross: Ura Furry, Ina Pickard, Annette Lalicker and Marge Anderson, 186.

1st Place Net: Kathy Voss, Kathy Homewood, Victoria Shankland and Kim Robinson, 125.

2nd place Net: Barbara Horrigan, Clair Bond, Lynn Provenzano and Elaine Putman, 127.

3rd place Net: Inga Low, Ellie Clow, Sandee Clow and Jill Garber, 131.

Commodore’s Flight:

1st place Gross: Rita Wacker, Mary Burns, Lorrie Cobb and Sally Fiebelkorn, 180.

1st place Net: Linda Kamashian, Ann Norris, Erin Furlong and Julie Moran, 118.

2nd place Net: Linda Kielty, Teresa Roberson, Sheryl Fine and Karen Reams, 123.

3rd place Net: Gail McCall, Barbara Spraul, Connie Vanderbyl and Georgia Morrow, 126.

The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association. The club meets on Tuesdays in the Magnolia Room at the country club. Players must check in before 7:30 a.m.; start time is 8 a.m. Major tournaments include the President’s Cup, Club Championship and Senior Tournament.
