Travel Club enjoys day of sightseeing in Los Angeles

Forty-three members of the Canyon Lake Travel Club enjoyed a day of sighteseeing and local delicacies on a “Taste of LA” tour on Mar. 29.

The group traveled by motor coach,  departing from the lodge and traveling to Los Angeles with stops at Olvera Street, Little Tokyo, Chinatown, an old-fashioned gourmet soda shop, Tam O’Shanter Inn and the San Antonio Winery.

The Travel Club invites all Canyon Lake residents to join in on exciting travel adventures and club parties. Annual membership is $10 per person. The group will travel by motor coach to Las Vegas for a three-night stay at the newly refurbished Golden Nugget May 6 through May 9. The cost is $380 per person and includes a dinner, show and brunch.

On Monday, June 4, the group will travel by motor coach to the Santa Monica Pier for lunch at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company and then to the Getty Villa Malibu to see some of the world’s finest art and rare antiquities. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. at the lodge and return at approximately 7:30 p.m. The cost is $84 per member; $89 per non-member. The reservation deadline for this trip is May 15.

The group will travel to Mazatlan Oct. 22 through Oct. 29. This trip is full; however, those interested may request to be placed on the waiting list.
