CLAMS to host golf tournament

The Canyon Lake Association of Men (CLAMS) Fundraiser Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Apr. 28, with a Shotgun start at 12 p.m. Check in is at 10:30 a.m.

The entry fee is $50 for Canyon Lake golf club members; $90 for guests. Fees include golf and cart, dinner, awards, golf hat and towel, participation gift and more.

Guests are welcome to attend dinner. Dinner only is $25. The buffet dinner menu includes a variety of food plus dessert and a beverage station.

The format will be a Four Player Scramble with prizes for the winning team. Contests include Longest Drive, Longest Putt and Closest to the Pin. There will be two Hole in One’s worth $10,000 cash each.

Entry forms will be available at the Golf Pro Shop at the country club. Participants do not need to a member of the CLAMS to golf in the tournament.

Sponsorship opportunities are available and range from $25 to $2500.

The CLAMS organization has been in existence for 43 years. The club is open to all Canyon Lake Men who share in the belief of giving back to the community.

Strong membership allows the CLAMS to continue its philanthropic work an give scholarships to deserving high school students as well as contributing to other charitable organization.

The CLAMS meet monthly on the third Wednesday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. except for April, June, July, August, September and December when there will be other activities. Annual dues are $35.

The next monthly meeting will be held at the country club on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Cocktails start at 5:30; dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Menu includes meatloaf at a cost of $10 per person.
