Interested in serving on the CL POA Board?

Members interested in running for a seat on the POA Board have until Mar. 2 to turn in their Intent to Run packet. The terms of Dale Welty and Paul Queen expire in May. The Board of Directors are elected for staggered two-year terms.

The five-member Board of Directors are collectively responsible for the management and operation of the POA’s business affairs. The Board of Directors works closely with the Association’s Corporate Department to ensure that Association duties and responsibilities are being carried out.

Intent to Run packets must be completed and returned to Harmony Owen at the POA office no later than Friday, Mar. 2, at 3 p.m. All candidates must be a Prime or Associate member of the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association and in good standing, as required by the By-Laws. Candidates must not have been convicted of a crime that involves moral turpitude within the past 10 years.

A Candidate Orientation Meeting will be held in the POA Conference Room on Friday, Mar. 9 at 2 p.m. Campaigning is not allowed prior to the meeting. Campaign signs may be placed in the community beginning Saturday, Mar. 11.

Ballots will be mailed to members Thursday, Apr. 5. The Annual Meeting of the Members and Election of Directors will be held Thursday, May 10, at 8 a.m. at the lodge. The alternate date if a quorum is not met is Saturday, May 12.
