Bassmasters Club announces monthly tournament winners

The Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club held its monthly tournament on Saturday, Nov. 4. The team of Joe Merrill and Brian Hahn came out on top with a fish weight of 18.22 pounds. Joe also caught a bass weighing in at 7.45 pounds, earning him the “Big Fish of the Day” title.

In second place was the team of Travis Smith and Mark DeVos with 14.13 pounds of bass. Mark White, fishing by himself, took the third place spot with 13.28 pounds. All bass were released back into the lake.

The Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club.

Residents who like to fish and want to improve their skills in a low stress, friendly competitive environment are welcome to join.
