Annual Freedom Run offers free family fun

Santa Rosa Academy, 27587 La Piedra Road, Menifee, is hosting Menifee’s 2nd annual Freedom run on Saturday. This annual community event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a Red, White and Blue Tie-Dye 5K Run, followed by a family 3K at 10 a.m.

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd fastest completion times. The fasted 5K time will receive two Disneyland tickets.

Canyon Lake residents are invited to run and stay for the fun. After the run, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event will feature a Chili Cook Off, vendor fair featuring more than 40 vendors, Car Show, children’s engineering class, tide pool, free educational activities and more.

Wristbands will be available for purchase for jumpers, petting zoo and other activities. Chili Cook Off admission is $10 for unlimited tastings; $5 for children ages five to 10. Car Show entry fee is $25; registration forms are available at sra.mn/cars. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

All proceeds will be donated to the Santa Rosa Academy Foundation to help support future programs.
