Ray Chenette Golf Tourney

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce Ray Chenette Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, at the Canyon Lake Country Club. It will be a Las Vegas Scramble. Check-in begins at 10 a.m., with shotgun start at noon. This tournament is an important fundraiser for the Chamber in its efforts to support Junior Golf and the community throughout the year. Chamber Luncheon

The next Chamber Luncheon is Wednesday, May 11,   at 11:30 a.m. in the City Multi-purpose Room/Council Chamber. Guest speaker Alex Braicovich of CR&R Waste & Recycling Services in Perris will discuss the company’s new multimillion dollar anaerobic digester. The digester takes in food scraps and combines them with yard waste to yield fertilizer and a form of natural gas that is capable of powering about 45 percent of the trucks in the company’s trash hauling and street-sweeping fleet.
