Letters: Danger from Trucks

Editor, The Friday Flyer:

I was driving down Railroad Canyon Rd. toward Lake Elsinore when a very large rock rolled from under one of those big earthmoving trucks and destroyed my left front tire. I was able to move to the side of the road and call for help. It took almost two hours for help to arrive.

While I waited, I was able to observe the number of trucks passing by and, for the most part, they were coming one or two per minute.

There were two cars behind me that had tires destroyed by that same big rock. We were all very lucky that none of us were hurt and that our cars did not sustain more damage.

What can we do? I don’t know. But at the very least, this company should pay for the tires we all had to buy. Fellow Canyon Lakers, watch out for those big trucks.
