VETERANS DAY

of residents David and Barbara Spraul who make a gener- ous donation each year to make the  yover possible.
Members of the Elsinore High School Flying Tigers Jr. ROTC prepare to lay a  oral wreath at the Veterans Memorial Monument. The wreath will remain at the monument until Saturday. One rose for each Canyon Lake veteran who passed away this year was placed in the urn next to the monument along with one rose for the unknown veterans.
The Canyon Lake Choraleers lead the crowd in singing the National Anthem and the service anthems for each military branch. Veterans of all  ve service branches were encour- aged to stand during the singing of their service anthems.

Veterans Day Committee member Karen Bevans stands with veterans and Canyon Lake residents Allen Alt, left, and Mike Rhodes. Allen and Mike gave presentations and Karen presented the names of Canyon Lake veterans who passed away this year.
The Canyon Lake Quilters present veteran Ura Furry, fourth from left, with a "Quilt of Valor" quilt made by the group. The winner was chosen from a free drawing held for Canyon Lake veterans. Members of the Quilters are pictured with Ura.
