Canyon Lakers who live alone invited to luncheon

Canyon Lake individuals who live alone are invited to a Priscilla Circle luncheon at the Canyon Lake Community Church on Oct. 30.

Three times a year, Priscilla Circle ladies plan and provide a free luncheon for about 140 people, who may or may not be members of the church.

“All are welcome,” Chairperson Lynda Ofstad said. “There is always a theme, beautiful decorations, great food, pleasant conversation, music, and a testimony or two. The theme for the October luncheon is fall and our thankfulness.”

Rita Robles is in charge of the food and Shepherd’s Pie will be served with hand-made desserts.

Everyone in the community who lives alone and would enjoy warm fellowship is invited to join the group in the Family Activities Center at Canyon Lake Community Church. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the lunch will start at noon.

Priscilla Circle is one of six circles at Canyon Lake Community Church. Approximately 30 women meet for fellowship, friendship, and outreach on the first Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the Family Activities Building.

The main ministry of this group is PLAN, which is outreach to People Living Alone Now.
