Youth Tennis Camp filled with tennis and camping

Canyon Lake’s Head Tennis Pro Bobby Kielty and his wife Meredith coordinated a Tennis Camp for Canyon Lake Youth that included both the rigars of tennis training and the fun of swimming and camping.

The participants, ranging in age from 12-17, tent-camped at Happy Camp after spending the three hours at the Canyon Lake Tennis Courts. Sixteen Canyon Lake youth participated in the four-day Tennis Camp.

The itinerary for the campers was busy, as each day consisted of tennis, paddle boarding, swimming in the lake, cooking fireside s’mores and nights of games.

“The kids got to be driven on boat to the tennis courts from Happy Camp and also got to experience some fun hot laps around the lake,” Bobby said. “The camp turned out great and was a lot of fun.”

The camp was a success and another one is set for June 7-11. Those wishing to sign up can do so at the Canyon Lake POA offices.
