Visit Santa, play in snow at city’s Tree Lighting on Dec. 5

The Veterans Memorial Park in the Towne Center will turn into a Winter Wonderland for the city’s annual Tree Lighting on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 4 to 9 p.m.

Hosted by the City of Canyon Lake and the Family Matters Club, the event features Santa, train rides, snow sledding, In-N-Out Burger, a petting zoo, gingerbread decorating, a Candy Land maze, face painting and holiday music.

In-N-Out Burger will be offering hamburger and cheeseburger combos for $7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Santa will be arriving at 5:30 p.m. The tree will be lit at 6 p.m.

In order to provide the necessary safety zone for the event, an area of the Towne Center will be closed from Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. until Dec. 6 at 6 a.m.

Parking will be available to the public around the perimeter of the event location and businesses will still be accessible to the public. For more information, contact City Hall at 951-244-2955.
