Treat yourself to annual Holiday Home Tour

Treat yourself to touring five Canyon Lake homes this holiday season on the Woman’s Club annual Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s theme is “Twinkle Lights and Lake Life.”

The Holiday Home Tour features tours of five homes, vendors and an opportunity drawing. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased by contacting Jan May at 951-970-8333. Vendor spaces are available and cost $40 per booth. For vendor information, contact Sue Collins at 951-246-2773.

The tour begins at 9 a.m. at the lodge where participants can pick up maps, enjoy refreshments, purchase opportunity drawing tickets and shop at vendor booths. The tour begins at 10 a.m. and ends at the lodge at 3:30 p.m. where the tree, wreath and centerpiece opportunity drawing winners will be announced. These items will be on display at the lodge starting on Nov. 23. Opportunity drawing tickets cost $1 each or $5 for six.

Each week leading up to the tour, The Friday Flyer will feature one home on the tour.

Home three features the waterfront home of Amber and Brett Hoerner. The spacious three-bedroom home on the main lake features a saltwater pool with a slide. The home was built for entertaining and the Hoerner family does just that, fully embracing lake life.

Together, Amber and Brett built the custom 1200 sq. ft. garage where they play games and vintage arcade machines.

The iron railing staircase leads to a large, open movie theater with custom sound panels. The family enjoys the wine and coffee bar which leads out to the covered lanai deck.

The home features tumbled travertine tile throughout and a chef-style kitchen. Their daughter’s room features a castle bed and their son’s room features a pirate bed.

The bottom level of the home has a private entrance, a bathroom with a shower, a full kitchenette and Amber’s office for her thriving home-based business.

Be sure to drop a letter in the six-foot-tall Santa mailbox on your way out.
